From the Podium

Last Thursday President Price announced the Club 21 Board of Directors has approved signing a new contract with the Spokane Club as our weekly meeting location.

This new contract will include a $1 increase to our lunch cost. Lunches for all Rotarians and guests will be $22 beginning May 2, 2024.

Beverage & Cookie fee will remain available for Club 21 members at $5

The Spokane Club requests our meal count by noon the Monday before the meeting. To help the Rotary Office give the most accurate count possible, RSVP before Monday at noon when possible. You can RSVP in the weekly newsletter or the Rotary website's 'upcoming speaker' page.

If your schedule changes and now you can attend but it's Tuesday or Wednesday - no problem! Contact the Rotary Office to confirm meal availability.

If you RSVP for a meal but can no longer attend - please let the Rotary Office know so we can re-sell your meal to another Rotarian to help avoid paying for uneaten meals.

A.o.K. Award

Mimi offered her Saturday to teach a hot yoga class for Rotarians and our families. She regularly steps in when a greeter is needed. She has spearheaded fundraising for a school in Kenya, providing desks made by a local Kenyan company. Not only has Mimi organized fundraisers through her yoga studio for school desks in Kenyan classrooms she has also organized “adoption” for the holidays of 6 local families in need. And, when I had surprise guests and needed extra eggs, she (and her chickens) provided them!
