Rain Water Harvesting

Hope this finds you in the best of spirits. This is to communicate to you the happy news that our Rain Water Harvesting Project has got completed before scheduled date with a total storage capacity of 500000 litres and the same was inaugurated on 28th June 09 by the then District Governor Rtn. Baby Joseph in presence of the present D.G and the D.G. (E).

The system has now become fully functional and the inmates have already started deriving benefit out of this Rain Water Harvesting facility. They have already consumed about 400000 litres of water from these tanks, thanks to the good rains we in Kerala had during the last 3 weeks.

The inmates of the Old Age Home are very happy and have expressed their deep gratitude to Rotary, especially to the sponsoring International Clubs who have stood for this noble cause.

The formal completion report is under preparation and will be sent within the next couple of weeks or so.
