Wheelchair ramp for Donovan Davis
On October 17th at 9:00 a.m., both Rotary Club 21 volunteers and non-Rotarian volunteers began construction of a wheelchair ramp for Donovan Davis, an eleven-year-old boy, who has suffered an anoxle brain injury which occurred in May of this year.
The ramp was completed by 3:30 p.m. that day! The Davis' are most appreciative of all of our efforts. The ramp will allow Donovan to receive various therapy treatments and return to school with greater ease.
The Disabilities Committee provided the $534.56 for the cost of materials and Rotarians Martin Phillips, Ed Lester and Dave Van Hersett, along with non-Rotarian friends, provided the labor.
This is one example of how your Rotary Community Service Inc. contributions make a difference in the lives of others in our community.
