Final Thoughts from President Kelsey
As the 2025-2026 Rotary Year comes to an end, it’s important to highlight some of our accomplishments. We collectively improved the lives of thousands of people right here in Spokane and across the globe. We are People of Action, and we UNITE FOR GOOD!
Our mighty RCS Committees thoughtfully deployed your donations in myriad ways, providing over $225K in grants, scholarships, and meaningful experiences throughout the year.
We completed 4 service projects outside of our RCS committees: 1) Bite2Go kit builds; 2) mural restoration downtown; 3) graffiti removal & trash pickup near the Place of Truths Plaza; and 4) we got our hands dirty in the INLC native plant nursery at Glen Tana. Thanks for your participation and engagement!
We recruited 22 new Rotary members this year. It’s exciting to see new faces and hear new ideas in the mix. Our strength lies in our members. Without our most valuable asset, YOU, there is no Rotary.
Thanks to Jim Johnson and the Youth Exchange Committee for breathing new life into the program. We have short-term and long-term students making connections across the globe.
A highlight for me every week was inviting you (78 Rotarians + Tami) to join me at the podium for Rotary Off the Cuff. I enjoyed getting to know you better. It was so much fun!
It’s a team effort to make our Club tick. Thank you to our Club Administrator, Tami Hennessy, for managing the day-to-day operations. Thank you to all the Committee Chairs & Members for your commitment to Rotary and your determination to make a difference.
Special thank you to the Board Officers: Karen Mobley, Rick Repp, Nicolle Laporte, Stefanie Page, and Directors: Rick Eichstaedt, Patrick Jones, AT Miller, Georgia Oxford, Lisa Price, Tim Sweet, and Mimi Vimont. And an extra round of applause for outgoing Club Treasurer, Nicolle Laporte! Over the last 3 years, her expertise and time commitment have been essential during the transitions we’ve been through. Thank you for your service!
It’s been an honor serving as Club President. Thanks for your support and encouragement. Together, we increased our impact and expanded our reach while also building strong connections in our community and with each other. Let’s carry this momentum into the new fiscal year as we welcome in President, Karen Mobley. It will surely be another impactful year!
