Question of the Week

If you were sent back in time 1,000 years, how would you prove that you're from the future?

Tami's answer: I wouldn't. I'd try to stay an observer. I've seen enough movies to know what happens when you mess around with time travel.

Rotary Talent Show

What's your talent?  Plan ahead to sing, read your poems, dance, or create a short stand-up set or something fun for our upcoming talent show.  Be sure to check in with Mark Barnes @ natfurnman@gmail.com for this and make sure we know what you need.  We're also looking for a sound person and a grip.  This is going to be fun!

Thank you to those who participated in the Committee Chair training.  There is one more this week!  If you need help with ClubRunner, make sure to reach out to Tammy.  Your committee chairs will be sending out the Conflict of Interest form, too.  Please return these.

And thank you to everyone for working hard and making it fun!

8/20/26 Rotary Off the Cuff: Carrie Funk & Mark Barnes

What is your favorite talent?

Carrie: My favorite talent in other people is performance of any sort. As far as my talent, I am not entirely sure I have one.

Mark: Aww jeez, stargazing.

Who taught you to juggle and why, or can you juggle?

Carrie: I absolutely cannot juggle.

Mark: I was inspired at the Furniture Market by a friend of mine who brought his juggling gear and taught me then and sparked it. I still juggle. I even have juggling chickens, which are like rubber chickens, but I haven’t done it in a while. Maybe on December 17th at the talent show you will see that.

What is your favorite circus animal?

Carrie: I like elephants.

Mark: Monkeys
