Note from
President Stokes

Greetings Rotarians,

I’m not sure which was my favorite part of last week’s meeting- the great meeting speaker Gavin Cooley, or the return of Hans and Franz - which marks the second time this RCS season Clark Brekke had a featured role in the video (is this a trend?)

Moving on – There were actually three things that took my cold Rotary heart from three sizes too small, to one filled with gladness.

  1. Guests, Guests, Guests – we’ve been averaging about three to five guests a meeting these days. To those of you who are introducing (or re-introducing) friends, acquaintances, co-workers to Rotary 21  - thank you for all you’re doing to help grow our club.
  2. RCS – Amy and her Not-Ready-for-Lunchtime Players are bringing must-see entertainment to the meetings, and that $125,000 goal is getting closer every week. Thanks to you for your support, and Amy,  keep the quality cinema coming!
  3. Finally, it was great to see our good friend Homer Todd joining us at the meeting. Homer was one of the first people to wish me luck as President this year, and I’m glad he was able to join the Rotary 21 Zoom Club. (Special thanks to Jenna Carroll and Dave Troyke for helping Homer get up and Zooming and for being outstanding examples of the Community of Rotary.)
Between the great program and great work by a lot of people, think we all had a pretty good day. I like it when a plan comes together.

Thank you all for being the example I try to strive for every day.

                               “See” you on Thursday,

                  Gary Stokes
