Now that Spring has sprung (sort of,) the chocolate Easter bunnies are headless, and the last Easter Egg Hunt prize has been found- we seem to be getting closer to the day when we will be able to (possibly) meet in person again. So, as promised, here’s an update.
At this point, by the end of April, everyone will be eligible to receive the vaccine(s,) which makes it possible we could return to in-person meetings by May. We heard from the Spokane Club last week, that they are starting discussions on the process of allowing meetings/events to resume.
As of this note, the Spokane Club is planning to operate from the current guidelines – 50% occupancy and tables 6 feet apart. As that remains in effect, that will mean an RSVP system to ensure we are in compliance.
Also, as of this writing, we don’t know if there will still be a buffet(doubtful,) a plated lunch(likely,) or a meal plan/option yet to be determined.
In any event, we’re also going to need a plan to still provide a Zoom meeting option for those not able to attend in person, or those who would exceed the proposed number of attendees.
Finally – for now – it would be helpful and/or appreciated if you would be willing to share if you’ve received the vaccine. We will not share that information, but it would help knowing how many of our members can safely gather – when we restart.
I want to thank all of you who called or emailed with your thoughts, concerns, and questions. I appreciate your input, your ideas, and your support as we navigate the next steps.
I’ll keep you posted…
