Debate Question Submission

October 3rd Rotary Club 21 will host a 5th Congressional District debate with Michael Baumgartner and Carmela Conroy. 
 
Members can submit questions by emailing the Rotary Office. All questions must be submitted by Noon, September 27th.
 
RSVPs will be required for this meeting.

Rotarians will be invoiced for their meals in advance and will receive their invoice on October 2nd, prompt payment will be appreciated. Meals will not be sold at the door.

Peace Pole Dedication

Rotary 21 members are invited to the Zone 26 & 27 Peace Pole dedication on Saturday, September 14th from 1:30 - 2:15 at the Rotary Fountain in Riverfront Park. 
 
A Peace Pole is a monument that displays the message May Peace Prevail On Earth in the language of the country where it is placed. It usually displays 3 to 7 additional languages meaningful to the host site.

The message is referred to as an affirmation of peace and its placement furthers Rotary's goal of building a culture of peace throughout the world. CLICK HERE to learn more about Rotary Sponsored Peace Poles.

Rotary District 5080 Fall Assembly
When: October 19th & 20th
Where: Spokane Valley
What: The schedule includes nine concurrent breakout sessions on a variety of topics plus a 90-minute plenary session at lunchtime. CLICK HERE to register.

Youth Exchange

Applications for 2025-2026 youth exchange are due to the district on October 10.  They are due both for the 8-week 2025 summer exchange program and the 10-month 2025-2026 school year program.  The district is doing an information session on September 19.  If you know anyone why is interested, they can register by CLICKING HERE.

Host Families Needed

The club is seeking one additional host family in the Lewis and Clark High School catchment area to host a student from Brazil from late January 2025 to June 2025.
