Rotary 21 awarded the 2022-2023 Gene Bronson awardees 
Gene Bronson was born in Spokane. He joined the Rotary Club of Spokane #21 in 1958. Gene was Club President in 1973-1974 and went on to be the District Governor in 1984-1985 and received Club 21's “Rotarian of the Year” award in 1989. Gene was fundamental in creating a trust for the club of which the income went directly to benefit the youth in Spokane. This scholarship is one example of how that money is spent. The board named this scholarship for Gene as a recognition of all of his years of Rotary Service and each year it is used to recognize outstanding new members of Rotary Club 21 and award them $400 towards their first Paul Harris Fellow.
